School is OUT!!!

Today was the last day of school for the kiddos.  I have to go tomorrow, but I hope that I won't have to stay very long.  It has been a rough week at our school.  Several of my co-workers were let go and my heart is broken for them.  I also got my world turned around, because I was moved to teach fifth grade.  I, of course, am up for the challenge, but I'm still a little nervous since I will be off for a while with Cora Jane.  My sweet husband is going to go help me get my room moved in the morning and then my mom has agreed to help me get my room ready on Saturday.  Yes, I know that sounds crazy, but since my new room is ready and has been waxed then I'm going to get it ready for next year before I am really prego!  I figured go get it done while I'm still in school mode.

I finished off the day with a one hour massage...BLISS!

21 weeks!

I'm 21 weeks!
Pregnancy Highlights:
How Far Along: 21 Weeks
Size of baby: Cora Jane is the size of a banana.
Total Weight Gain/Loss: I'm not sure!!!
Maternity Clothes: Last week the cool weather put me in a predicament.  I wasn't able to wear my dresses so I went to buy a couple of maternity pants.
Gender: It's a GIRL! Cora Jane (double name)  I'm a little stressed that people are going to call my baby girl CJ.  I have never wanted my children to be initials.  I'm praying that people will not shorten her name to CJ.
Movement: I feel her everyday.  I love when she is really active.  Donny had his hand on my belly one night this week and Cora Jane wasn't moving.  I told him she was already asleep.  He shook my belly and got her going.  It was a special moment.
Sleep: My sleep is still good!
What I miss: My clothes!
Cravings: I still can't go without lemonade and fruit!!!  I'm ready for the Farmer's Market to open.
Symptoms: Backache and headache
Best Moment this week: I made Cora Jane her first burp cloth.

What I miss: My clothes!
Cravings: I still can't go without lemonade and the weird one this week was green beans.

Update on her heart rate:  We cannot get a fetal echo until we are 24 weeks.  So, we will go on June 13th to the high risk doctor to get Cora Jane's heart rate checked out.  We will actually see our regular doctor on June 1st and I'm praying that when they listen to her that everything will sound great.

May Beach Trip

We (Cody, Danielle, Donny, and I) left for a weekend beach trip on May 5th after I got home from work.  We got permission to come back on Mother's Day from our mothers.  We were working around the guys work schedule.  It was a great relaxing weekend filled with some great food!  We stayed in Orange Beach in a really nice condo.  Donny and I really missed our beach partners (Tammy and Billy), but we ate at some of our favorites.  Pappa Rocco's, Tacky Jack's, Lambert's, and one of my personal favorites Sea 'n Suds.  I am a at taking pictures on trips, but here are a few.

I'm 19 weeks!

Pregnancy Highlights:

How Far Along: 19 Weeks

Total Weight Gain/Loss: Yes, it was worse than I expected...6 pounds.  In my defense I went 5 weeks in between my appointments.  The doctor said he wasn't concerned!

Gender: It's a GIRL!  Cora Jane (double name)

Movement: She moves all the time.  I think she did relax while at the beach because while out on the beach she wasn't very active, but she let me know she was there at night.  I love feeling her move!

Sleep: I sleep well!!!  I'm enjoying it while it last.

What I miss: I miss being able to plan my outfits for school.

Cravings: I still love my lemonade.

It's a ...

Girl!!!
Cora Jane will be making her appearance in September.

I do have a prayer request.  My doctor is sending us to a high-risk ob doctor because the ultrasound nurse notice an irregular heartbeat.  The doctor said that structural nothing looking out of place and that it could end up being nothing.  Of course I cried once I got in the car, but I trust the Good Lord that everything is going to be okay.  I got home and looked up some stuff on a pregnancy site about irregular heartbeat.  Apparently this isn't such an uncommon thing, but I also read that caffeine could cause an irregular heartbeat.  Well, then I felt really guilty.  I rarely ever drink caffeine unless I'm at a restaurant and drink sweet tea...Except for yesterday.  A couple of people told me to drink a Mt. Dew to get the baby active.  I had second thoughts and my other mother even told me not to drink it, but I did.  I'm hoping that contributed to the problem.  I also have always had weird heart issues in my adult life so she might be taking after her mother.  So, please pray for that doctor's appointment, for my little girl, and her mom and dad.  I know this is the Lord teaching me something because He has been dealing with me for about a week now and I think what I'm suppose to learn is all in this.

I will post more on the event soon!!!
