May Beach Trip

We (Cody, Danielle, Donny, and I) left for a weekend beach trip on May 5th after I got home from work.  We got permission to come back on Mother's Day from our mothers.  We were working around the guys work schedule.  It was a great relaxing weekend filled with some great food!  We stayed in Orange Beach in a really nice condo.  Donny and I really missed our beach partners (Tammy and Billy), but we ate at some of our favorites.  Pappa Rocco's, Tacky Jack's, Lambert's, and one of my personal favorites Sea 'n Suds.  I am a at taking pictures on trips, but here are a few.

We were representing our team!

19 weeks!

This is very late and I have a lot to blog about this week.  I must catch up!

(I'm not a fan of this picture.  We had just got home from the beach.)

I'm 19 weeks!

Pregnancy Highlights:

How Far Along: 19 Weeks

Size of baby: She is the size of a mango.

Total Weight Gain/Loss: Yes, it was worse than I expected...6 pounds.  In my defense I went 5 weeks in between my appointments.  The doctor said he wasn't concerned!

Maternity Clothes: I'm trying to survive the last few weeks of school in my dresses.  My pants are not comfortable and I found out my shorts didn't fit while at the beach.

Gender: It's a GIRL!  Cora Jane (double name)

Movement: She moves all the time.  I think she did relax while at the beach because while out on the beach she wasn't very active, but she let me know she was there at night.  I love feeling her move!

Sleep: I sleep well!!!  I'm enjoying it while it last.

What I miss: I miss being able to plan my outfits for school.

Cravings: I still love my lemonade.

Symptons: Just a little heartburn and my hips have really been bothering me.
Best Moment this week: Wow!  A lot of great moments.
  • Finding out we were having a little girl!
  • Getting my first Mother's Day card from my husband.
  • Enjoying our time at the beach.

It's a ...

Girl!!!
Cora Jane will be making her appearance in September.

I do have a prayer request.  My doctor is sending us to a high-risk ob doctor because the ultrasound nurse notice an irregular heartbeat.  The doctor said that structural nothing looking out of place and that it could end up being nothing.  Of course I cried once I got in the car, but I trust the Good Lord that everything is going to be okay.  I got home and looked up some stuff on a pregnancy site about irregular heartbeat.  Apparently this isn't such an uncommon thing, but I also read that caffeine could cause an irregular heartbeat.  Well, then I felt really guilty.  I rarely ever drink caffeine unless I'm at a restaurant and drink sweet tea...Except for yesterday.  A couple of people told me to drink a Mt. Dew to get the baby active.  I had second thoughts and my other mother even told me not to drink it, but I did.  I'm hoping that contributed to the problem.  I also have always had weird heart issues in my adult life so she might be taking after her mother.  So, please pray for that doctor's appointment, for my little girl, and her mom and dad.  I know this is the Lord teaching me something because He has been dealing with me for about a week now and I think what I'm suppose to learn is all in this.

I will post more on the event soon!!!

Maternity Clothes: I'm about out of all my regular dress pants except my linen pants.  It is going to be dresses until the end of school I'm afraid.
Gender: We find out tomorrow...May 3rd!  I can't wait!
Movement: I have felt the little one move almost everyday for about 5 days.  It is the strangest feeling, but I love it.

Best Moment this week: Hearing the baby's heartbeat!  (That was last week.)  Getting a good night's sleep after getting my new pillow.

I haven't had morning sickness...Thank the Lord.  I honestly have eaten us out of house and home.  I think I go to the grocery store at least every other day.  I'm not used to eating small meals.  I'm a 3 meal kind of girl so this is taking some getting used to.  I also have had several morning that I've been up at 3 or 4 o'clock eating because I feel like my stomach is touching my backbone.  My sweet husband has been wonderful.  He is so cute when he tells people that "She's going to be a mommy!"  Makes my heart smile.
