One year ago...

We found out that we were pregnant.  Just three weeks prior to finding out we were pregnant we had gone to the doctor to find out what our next step was to getting pregnant after months of trying.  Due to my endometriosis and pelvic congestion syndrome we were having trouble and Dr. A suggested that if we were ready he would start me on Cl0mid my next cycle.  But the week that I was suppose to start my cycle something just wasn't right so I came home that Thursday and decided to just take a pregnancy test.  It was the last one of the many I had bought over the past 9 months.  I was home by myself so when that test turned positive quickly I didn't exactly how what to do, but I knew that Donny would be home soon.  I quickly got to my monogramming machine and made a onesie that said "I love you Daddy."  When he got home the onesie and test were on the couch.  I was in the sewing room.  When he walked in to see me he had the biggest smile on his face.  He said "Really?"  We had to go eat Mexican that night to celebrate.  We decided to keep it a secret until after we were 8 weeks.  We told our parents at 8 weeks and then started letting the world know after 12 weeks.  After months of prayer, pain, and doctor visits we were beyond excited to start this new journey.  Now we have a beautiful, healty baby girl!

Package Just Arrived...Can't wait to share!

I've checked on Cora Jane's bedding every couple of days for the last couple of weeks.  I was thrilled yesterday when I got an email saying that it had shipped.  This morning when I checked the deliver date it said "Out for delivery."  I was so excited.  I waited around most of the day hoping that it would come.  I needed to get some errands ran before 4:00 so around 2ish I left out.  I was having a craving for sour straws therefore I stopped by the convenient store to pick some up.  As I was pulling out to head to Alabaster I saw the UP$ truck across the street.  I decided to go back home to wait for a few minutes.  I was getting ready to walk to the mailbox with Ruby and I looked outside and the UP$ truck zoomed past the house.  I was so disappointed.  I knew that sometimes they go all the way down our highway and work their way back up.  I decided to leave and hope that it would be here when I got home.  I was happy when I pulled in the driveway and saw the box at the front door.  I will share the nursery soon!  I'm going to put her bedding in her room right now.  I can't wait to open the box.  I feel like a kid at Christmas.

Sneak Peek

Here are a few pictures of a few things in Cora Jane's nursery.  I cannot wait until her bedding gets here.  I will post a video and more pictures when everything is finally in place.
This is some of the fabric in the bedding.

Love this!

Have a guess?

I've been sewing the past two days.  I've had so much fun.  Here are a few pictures of the outfits.  I also purchased the blankie from Etsy.  I know I could have made a tag blanket, but for once I wanted someone else to do it.

I'm going to try to add a ribbon and a bow.  I love these and I will be making some more.  They are so easy!

This is the first item with her name on it!  It is a tag blankie.

27 Weeks!

I'm 27 weeks!
Pregnancy Highlights:

How Far Along: 27 Weeks

Size of baby: Cora Jane is the size of an eggplant.

Total Weight Gain/Loss: I've gained 14 pounds and I feel it!!!!

Maternity Clothes: I have to wash clothes often.  I'm sure my family is tired of seeing the same clothes, but I have a limited amount.
Gender: It's a GIRL! Cora Jane (double name)

Stretch Marks: Thankfully none yet!

Belly button in or out: It is still in, but it won't be long!

Movement: She is very active after I eat a meal.  She has some body part stuck under my right rib cage.
Sleep: Last week I didn't sleep very well.  I was waking up very early, sometime between the hours of 3AM and 6AM, and not able to go back to sleep.  I did take a few naps last week.

What I miss: I miss my SLEEP!!
Cravings: I still drink my lemonade everyday, but I also craved Fireh0use Subs!

Symptoms: Oh, how my hips hurt.  I think that this had a lot to do with me losing sleep.

Best Moment this week: The best moments of the week:
  • We went for our reglular check up and everything is looking great.  I PASSED THE SUGAR TEST!!!  Yeah!!!  It is hard to believe that after our next doctor visit we start our two week visits.  Only 13 more weeks before we get to meet our little girl!!!
  • We got the chair for Cora Jane's room.  I can not wait to have her room ready.

We started our rotations within the OB practice and our doctor this month was the doctor that delivered the sextuplets.  I'll be honest I wasn't very excited about having to see other doctors, but I was very impressed with Dr. McKenzie.  He was super nice and very informative.  And we got to see his humerous side.  He was finishing up with us and he made the comment that after they deliever the baby the doctor's like to pray over the baby and that most of those babies grow up to be Alabama fans.  He then asked, "Will this be a problem with y'all?"  Of course we told him that it would be a problem (Donny had his Auburn hat on.)  Then after he walked out of the room and called us out in the hallway.  He made us promise that we wouldn't be offended.  He walks us to the bullentin board with birth annoucements and Christmas cards.  He proceeds to explain that this was his families Christmas card and the picture on the front was the photo that his sweet wife approved of, which was a nice family picture.  He then flips open the card and it is a picture of his entire family dressed in Oregon Duck attire while each one of them is holding up their hands in the form of an "O."  He said that he caught a little grief from the Auburn fans with that picture.  I game him credit and said that it was very clever.

Symptoms: My back and hips are still bothering me.
Best Moment this week: We went to the high-risk doctor on Monday and everything was perfect.  The doctor was a little disappointed that we couldn't scare him more.  (Not really, but he did joke around with us.)  Thank you for all the prayers for our little girl!

Cora Jane is already being spoiled!  Here are a few things that people have already given us:

The diaper bag matches the colors I'm using in her room perfectly.
We are already starting to collect the Auburn attire!
I love the barn animal toys that can attach to her car seat.

These are the two things that I've made her so far.  I've got lots of designs to use.

These are the fabrics that I'm going to use in her room minus a stripe that has the same colors with a little bit of blue.  I'm getting ready to place that order soon.
